Akif Erbin

Assoc. Prof. Akif Erbin received his medical degree from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, in 2006 and completed his Urology residency at the Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 2013. He was promoted to associate professor of urology in 2020. He is currently affiliated with the University of Health Sciences, Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, where he continues his academic, clinical, and research activities. Dr. Erbin has authored over 85 peer-reviewed international publications, most of which are indexed in SCIE journals. His research and clinical practice primarily focus on uro-oncology, encompassing laparoscopic and robotic urogenital oncologic surgery, orthotopic neobladder reconstruction, thulium fiber laser–based en bloc bladder tumor resection, and MRI-targeted prostate fusion biopsy techniques. He is an active peer reviewer for 57 international journals, 37 of which are SCIE-indexed, and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Medical Bulletin of Haseki for the past five years, a journal indexed in ESCI and Scopus.
